Christ Monument Completed

The result of two years of creative labor has finally come to fruition with the release of Mark's Be Not Afraid monument. In the midst of his labor the artist remarked, “While forming a clay likeness of the hand of the Savior of mankind, I was overwhelmed by a great sense of awe. I couldn't help but think about the great work done by those hands – the healing, the teaching, the incomprehensible sacrifice. I personally choose to believe that He was who He said He was and I
deem it the high point of my sculpting experience to create a portrait of the Creator.”

Two New Works Ready For Release

Mark Hopkins has two new pieces ready for release. The first is Nine Lives, a work of art for every cat lover. This adorable sculpture incorporates nine various breeds of domesticated cats in one entertaining scene. In Doubt Not, Mark has completed a humbling new religious piece. In this moving portrait, the Savior shows tender compassion to his doubting disciple Thomas, who reaches to touch the wound in the hand of the Master.

Artist's Corner

“Just recently, I was able to see the John Adams mini-series produced by HBO. As I watched this remarkable series, I was deeply impressed with the miracle of the United States of America. It is amazing to me that this diverse group of men, with very different ideas, concerns, and interests, were able to come to a consensus of opinion and create a union. With their collective wisdom and experience, along with the wisdom of other great thinkers from the past, they established a nation founded on liberty and opportunity for the individual. I will be eternally grateful to these men, who overcame nearly insurmountable odds, for their contribution to this country - the greatest nation on earth.

“On a much smaller scale, we have accomplished a great feat of our own with Mark Hopkins Sculpture. In this, our 20th anniversary year, I find myself extremely grateful to all the people who worked to make this company possible. Brilliant, creative minds took their own knowledge of modern technology and systems and combined it with the wisdom of the past and helped found a new concept in bronze casting. With widely differing personalities, talents, and ideas, we
came together to set up a wonderful company. We are able to produce sculpture with an efficiency that has made it possible for many people to own and enjoy the beauty of bronze art.

“I am also immensely grateful to those of you who have connected with the work we do. Our collectors make it possible for us to continue in a labor of love that brings us great satisfaction and joy. Without them, it is only a one-way ‘conversation,’ which is an empty experience. With our collectors, it becomes an exciting and inspiring exchange of ideas.”
